Presentation on Counterfeiting by Krystian Maciaszek

At the next LESI Consumer Products Committee Meeting on June 1 at 8AM ET, Krystian Maciaszek will discuss the situation in Poland, and more broadly in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, as regards the challenges faced by holders of intellectual property rights in the field of counterfeiting. He will present some statistical data and discuss strategies which can be adopted in order to defend intellectual property rights more effectively. Speaker Biography
Krystian Maciaszek has extensive experience in representing and advising clients on issues related to the protection of intellectual property. His practice focuses on brand protection, including the registration of trademarks, counterfeits, and combatting unfair competition - mainly on the FMCG, pharmaceutical and toys markets. He also advises clients on  the protection of registered and unregistered, industrial designs and copyrights, as well as on the protection of technological solutions in the construction, furniture and clothing industries. Krystian has significant expertise and know-how related to software licensing issues and he also represents clients before common courts, administrative courts, arbitration courts and the EUIPO. Krystian is an arbiter at Court of Arbitration in Matters Concerning Internet Domain Names at the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications.
