On behalf of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), we are delighted to advise that registration is now OPEN for the upcoming LESI Winter Planning Meeting to be held on 21st-23rd February 2020 in Padua, Italy. As per tradition, the WPM is by invitation of the President-Elect, Audrey Yap.

The event is organized by LES in collaboration with the University of Padua, UniSMART, the tech transfer company of the University of Padova, and Padova Convention Bureau, a public office established by the Municipality of Padua with the official aim of increasing the ability to attract tourists and promoting conference in that area.

The 2020 LESI Winter Planning Meeting will start on Friday, 21st February with a joint LESI and UniSMART seminar covering licensing on technology transfer using an international case study of cooperation between university/industry. In the afternoon, there will also be the LESI Board Meeting and, for the first time, rather than a Board Dinner we will organize an optional wonderful meal for all attendees and accompanying persons in a typical Italian restaurant. Additional information about the location and the cost of the dinner will be provided soon.

We will then have our traditional one day meeting on Saturday, 22nd February from 9:00am to 5:00pm, followed by dinner at Caffé Pedrocchi (Sala Rossini), a café founded in the 18th century in central Padua. The dinner will be preceded by a cocktail reception in honour of the former LESI President Peter Hess, kindly offered by Bardehle Pagenberg.

On the morning of Sunday, 23rd February until noon, there will be an optional tour to enjoy the magnificent beauties of Padua (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Padua and http://www.turismopadova.it/en/basic-page/padua-24-or-48-hours). Details will be made available to those interested.

The venue for the Friday and Saturday meetings will be the University of Padua, the second oldest Italian University (founded in 1222) after Bologna, the oldest University in the world (founded in 1088). Please note that all the venues are in walking distance: Caffè Pedrocchi is located in front of the University.

Two small yet fancy hotels in walking distance (5-7 mins) to the University of Padua have been reserved for LES members attending the WPM:
