LESI WILA Committee "Bridging the IP Gender Gap - making IP more accessible to women inventors, practitioners and deal makers"

Studies have found that only about ~18% of registered patent practitioners at the USPTO are women.  This number is similar to those in other countries around the world, such as Japan. There are ongoing efforts in many countries, including the US, focused on enabling diversity and increasing access to underrepresented populations within industry, in government and among innovators and inventors accessing IP systems.

During this webinar, LESI's WILA Committee will be joined by Mary Hannon of Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP to discuss her recent publication featured in the Indiana University Maurer School of Law's IP Theory, "The Patent Bar Gender Gap: Expanding the Eligibility Requirements to Foster Inclusion and Innovation in the U.S. Patent System."

We will also look at data on diversity and gender from other countries in comparison. Join WILA on March 10 and add your voice into this conversation!
