Philosophy

The LES philosophy has four cornerstones:
  1. Nonprofit network
To function as a nonprofit professional society, encouraging high professional standards among individuals who are engaged in the transfer and licensing of technologies and industrial or intellectual property rights.
  2. Assistance and improvement
To assist its members in improving their skills and techniques through self-education, the conduct of special studies and research, the sponsorship of educational meetings, the publication of statistics, reports and other material, and the exchange of ideas related to domestic and international licensing.

LES regularly organises conferences, seminars and workshops on licensing and related subjects.
  3. External information
To inform the public, the international bodies, the governmental bodies and the international business community of the economic significance of licensing and the high professional standards of those engaged in licensing.

LES maintains close contacts with the UN, EU and WIPO on IP and technology transfer matters.
  4. Membership information
To give all members the latest and most accurate information about current developments in the field of licensing.

One of the most valuable benefits is the membership roster which includes the names, addresses and telephone numbers of all members. An invaluable resource for making contacts between licensors ad licensees fast and smooth.

All members of LES share the same ambition - to develop the concept of licensing and proprietary rights.
