Spirit of Licensing - It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that LES Switzerland is going to host the LES Pan European Conference 2013 in Davos from 23 to 25 June 2013.

LES Switzerland has the honour to invite LES members and all interested in licensing, technology transfer and industrial property to come together, to exchange views and to experience the “Spirit of Licensing” – a special approach to licensing.

The program will consist of a lively mixture of lectures and workshops with international content and local flavour within a sparkling mountain atmosphere.

The successful development and commercialization of energy technologies requires considered intellectual property (IP) strategies as well as contract drafting. Moreover, a careful choice of dispute prevention and resolution mechanisms is key for parties to enforce and defend their IP assets in a time- and cost-efficient manner. This is of relevance for all entities involved in commercial and research transactions in renewable and conventional energies, as well as in energy efficiency.
The Conference will provide an overview of green technologies and IP in the energy sector, IP risk protection strategies and dispute resolution options. Practitioners will present their experience with contract negotiations and dispute resolution, including licensing, assignments, mergers & acquisitions, or research and development collaborations.
 
Specific information will be provided on dispute resolution in Asia and on financing options for green technology projects in the upcoming European Union Framework Program for Research and Innovation (Horizon 2020).
This Conference is organized by the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, the University of Bonn, and supported by the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) - Chemicals, Energy, Environment and Materials Committee, the European Industrial Research Management Association (EIRMA) and the European IPR Helpdesk.Should you wish to attend, please register at http://www.wipo.int/amc/en/events/conferences/2013/bonn/ by August 2, 2013.
