LESI Membership Data Usage Policy

LESI and its members shall respect all members’ rights to privacy.

LESI and its members shall use the membership data only for the purpose of communications between the LESI leadership and its members, and among members of committees.

LESI all allow its members to opt in to and opt out of communications within the LESI community via the LESI website.

LESI reserves the right to restrict or revoke access of an individual to the LESI website and/or Membership Database due to the violation of any of these policies.

 

LINKS

In general it is not necessary for permission to be obtained for 'appropriate' sites to be linked to the LES International site, subject to the following:

1. The link must not be used improperly to imply any endorsement by or association with LES or its activities.
2. The LES logo must not be used without permission.
3. The link must be to the LES International home page, not to a sub-page.

 

SERVICE DIRECTORY

Terms and Conditions for the Service Directory from the LES International Web Site

1. The linked site must be a personal site of an LES member, or the site of a company or other organization having at least one LES member. Other sites unrelated to any current LES member will not be accepted.
2. The linked site must be 'appropriate', i.e. it must have some relevance to licensing or the activities of LES.
3. The link may include, or be accompanied by very brief descriptive information but this should be suitably 'professional' and should not be of an obvious promotional or advertising nature. Acceptable examples are:
   • A, B and C: Patent Attorneys based in New York, U.S.A.
   • A, B and C: Licensing Consultants in Paris, France specializing in biotechnology.
   • ABC Ltd.: Research Organization based in Melbourne, Australia with offices in other countries.
   • ABC Corp: Engineering Company in Tokyo, Japan licenses manufacturing technology in and out.
   There will be a charge of US$ 150 for each link accepted after 15 May 2004. The fee applies to 1 July 2005. The payment should be made within 30 days to the Treasurer of LES International by check or credit card.---->
