The successful development and commercialization of technology requires careful drafting of research and development (R&D) contracts and subsequent commercial agreements. This conference will provide an overview of relevant agreements concluded in the R&D and commercial exploitation stages to illustrate their interrelation, with a particular focus on IP and alternative dispute resolution. Methods of evaluating and valuating IP for the purpose of its commercialization will be presented. Experienced practitioners will address selected issues of Belgian, English, US and German law relevant for licensing and transfer of ownership of IP, dispute resolution, and will share best practices and experiences.

LES Italy is honored to host the next LES Pan European Conference 2012 and delighted to invite the LES members and other professionals who deal with Intellectual Property, as well as those from other industries who are interested in learning more about maximizing the value of the IP Rights, to come to Rome from June 10th to 12th, 2012.

The LES Pan European Conference 2012 will be a great event that attracts IP practitioners and industry professionals from all over the world by giving them an ideal forum to meet, network, exchange points of view and experiences, and promote the understanding of IP protection.
Registrations are now open. An additional discount of 50 euros on the early bird fee is available for all people registering by November 30th, 2011.
Open for workshop proposals. Several afternoon streaming workshops will be specifically tailored to address the IP needs of the large corporations as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. Those interested in organizing a workshop during the Conference may submit - no later than January 15th, 2012 - a workshop proposal to the Secretary of LES Italy: info@les-italy.org.
