Mission
The mission of the Consumer Product Committee is to provide LESI and its constituent Member Societies with information and content in the Consumer Products field within areas which are specifics in this industry segment such as control and monitoring of their IP assets by informing about new tools like web monitoring, brand protection through product serialization. The Committee will also deal with licensing-related practices such as franchising, merchandising and sponsoring.

Jochen M. Schaefer has been involved in international business throughout his career with a strong focus on the international sporting goods industry by having been the General Counsel of company Adidas and serving since 1986 as Legal Counsel for the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry. After more than 20 years as partner or managing partner of major law firms, he is now heading up his own law office and is based in Munich/Germany.
