Mission
The mission of the Asia-Pacific Committee is to promote and enhance cooperation and collaboration among the LESI societies in one of the most dynamic regions of the world today by sharing information, resources, and experiences, through regional activities, joint society activities, networking and creating more opportunities to build valuable relationships.

Audrey Yap (LES Singapore)
Co-founder and Managing Partner of Yu Sarn Audry & Partners, Audrey was the only Singapore lawyer named in IAM magazine’s 2009 list of the World’s250 leading IP strategists (www.iam250.com). She has served as a Regional Consultant (IP) for WIPO heading a study on IP as an economic tool for ASEAN, as an external expert for the EPO under the EC-ASEAN IP Cooperation Programme and as an examiner for IPOS for the Patents Agents qualifying exams. Cited in Who’s Who Legal 2008 as one of the top lawyers in Singapore, Audrey is also an Adjunct Fellow of the Intellectual Property Academy of Singapore.
Torahiko Maki (LES Japan)
Mr. Maki is Member of the Board & Executive Officer, Senior General Manager of Control & Administration Division, Tsukishima Kikai Co. Ltd., after serving as a Senior General Manager of Licensing Department at Chiyoda Corporation. He has been engaged in international licensing businesses and negotiation, overseas plant construction contract negotiation, as well as overseas assignment. He is now Vice-President of Licensing Executive Society (LES) Japan. He is also a part- time lecturer, Tokyo University of Science, Special Graduate School.
