Projects

The LESI Consumer Products Committee is a new Industry Sector Committee of LESI. As such, it is in an organizational phase in which it is needed to enrolling persons interested in participating in the Committees activities.

• Committee Membership
  
  This Project involves devising and implementing actions and activities to:
  (1) make LES members aware of the LESI Consumer Products Committee;
  (2) identify LES members who may be interested in the activities of the Committee and to participate in them; and
  (3) engage LES members to participate in the Committees activities and, in particular to serve leadership roles in the Committee.

• Committee Organization
  
  As a new Industry Sector Committee of LESI, the LESI Consumer Products Committee will need to know how to best organize itself to achieve the Committees objectives and grow into a fully functioning LESI Committee.
  
  This Project involves, examining and proposing the best way to structure this Committee according to the resources, human and otherwise, available to it.

• Project: Workshops
  
  As an LESI Industry Sector Committee, the Consumer Products Committee has, as one of its deliverables, to organize and put on Workshops at the LESI Annual Conference and/or the LES USA/Canada Annual Meeting. While LESI Industry Committees normally have to organize and put on 3-5 Workshops each year, because it is a new Committee, the Consumer Products Committee needs to only do one such Workshop.
  
  The goal of this Project will be to organize and put on such a Workshop at, preferably, the LESI Annual Conference in Sandton, South Africa in April 2010.

• Project: les Nouvelles Publications
  
  As an LESI Industry Sector Committee, the Consumer Products Committee has, as one of its deliverables, to sponsor the publication of at least one article per year in les Nouvelles relative to its Committees scope.
  
  The goal of this Project is to identify a topic and a person who would be willing to author an article on the topic for publication in les Nouvelles.

• Project: Committee Web Pages
  
  The goal of this Project is to fill, and maintain current, the content its Committees Web Pages.
